This is true story. The story taken from diary of a doctor, Chin Mei Ling in 1922. The story begin when Chin Mei Ling was 8 years old. When she gets a red diary book from her teacher. She writes about her life and her aims. She lives in Chinatown in Canada with her father and her uncles. She and her father’s aim is take her mother and her little brother from China to Canada. They have to collect more money. And the have to face Canada’s rules which said that Chinese people can’t come and live permanently in Canada. Chin Mei Ling might to fight. She wants to get more money but she always want to study hard. In this story we can see her power and spirit. Her aim must be delayed because of world war II in China. She can take her mother and her little brother when her little brother was 26 years old. Chin Mei Ling also can get her aim to be a doctor by scholarship. This book is very good. We can see the way to get someone aim, their spirit, and their fight.
